Fable and Forza have become pretty big franchises this gen as well.
I really think MS and Epic are in a win/win situation with Gears of War 2 being Xbox360 exclusive. The game sold very well, it pushed a lot of Xbox 360s, DLC sold well, too. Advertising worked out well... Good for everybody.
And stop this Uncharted vs Gears stuff. They don't have much in common except being TPS with a cover-system.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
