Is it just me or to run a dedicated server you have to RENT a server ???

And you guys consider PC online gaming to be better ?

You can set your PS3 as a ranked server host in Warhawk..........

But can  you then add mods, various player counts (higher than norm), private slots for clans, clan pre-fixes, special rules like no friendly fire, etc, etc

oh, almost forgot... and that PS3 is running on your house, your elec, and is only up while you leave it up. Renting a server for $35 is up 24/7 and not dependent on your living conditions and network.

Not only that, you can do the same thing with your own computer. It's obviuosly not going to be as good as the places you can rent from unless you have the hardware and internet connection for it.

While I think not limiting Warhawk to peer to peer is great, that's just one console game versus PC gaming.

 

That's the thing I was wondering, nowhere do they mention that so I was wondering if that will indeed be the case or not...

For the Battlefield series, I believe they have you rent through their business partners, but that isn't the case for every game.
