Quite so, if they feel they have something to protect, by all means leave them to their own devices, why would muslims want to live in such a hostile environment anyway?
I have often though that all religious buildings should be secular and featurless (aside from examples of fine architecture and listed buildings), red brick churches and mosques just look ugly regardless of religion, much easier to have something like this

Its also cheaper and can be used for many purposes, you could have a church and mosque in one, hows that for promoting unity.
