Switzerland is very proud on his unique towns it is that what also attracts many tourists 'that typical swizz feeling'.

1. I can understand why allowing minarets would hurt those towns look and let the typical Swizz feeling go away for his inhabitants.

Good that Switzerland let his citizens choose this is a win for democracy. Many people in other cities saw their towns change without the ability to vote about it.

I tell ya Europe is getting doomed if this continue.  2. An Dutch politician wants to ban the Koran, France and belgium(part of) 3. don't allow scarfs on schools, Swizz doing this,  An Arabian Europe leaque that wants to stop the trade with USA and a 4. law where all European children on school should atleast get one year Arabic etc.

A civil war is coming I tell ya.

1. It's a reasonable point to make that if you have historic towns, certain buildings can offset their beauty or historical attraction however there is no need for an all out ban on minarets to prevent this (even though they may actaully improve the beauty of the town). The minarets should simply go through the normal planning permision channels like every other building and if the construction of one in a certain area would inhibit the historical significanace then simply deny permision. A blanket ban is unnecessary as there are certain to be places where minarets will have no impact on a towns historical architecture.

2. There is, has been, and always will be manipulative and prejudice people in the world but that doesn't mean they will necessarily impose their views on everyone else.

3. The burka is banned in Turkey in all state run places (universities, public offices ect). It isn't unusual in secular governments (even in a country made up of >98% muslims).

4. Will never happen.
