I love the "with neighborhoods that are unsafe for white people to visit". Have you ever been to one of these neighborhoods? I have, many times and I'm the whitest motherfucker on the planet. I've driven through South Central and while it's not a place I want to visit at 3am, there are loads of places like that all over the world. During the day, the "danger" is so blown out of proportion that it's silly. Just a few days ago I was driving through the Birmingham and Memphis "ghettos" (which I had been warned I'd be jacked if I entered) with no fear of anything. Totally mundane. Inner cities in America are portrayed to be this war-like zone and I assure you, that is not even close to being true. You make a point about America being a melting pot and it's a valid one but in conjunction with that, I do not understand your first statement of "the USA is nothing to strive for". Wait, so we've adapted and integrated multiple cultures, the law (generally) doesn't infringe on the rights of these cultures, yet that's nothing to strive for? Latinos aren't Moslems but there is a significant Moslem and Jewish population in Los Angeles... yet I don't see a single lawmaker advocating the banning of religious practices such as minarets or burkas. Why is that? Why is it so bloody hard to accept that people of different cultures will have differing practices and just respect that? Everywhere I visited on the west coast of the US does a pretty good job of getting along with one another... unfortunately, I wish the same could be said of the Midwest but that's another argument entirely. |
Yeah, it's not so much that the area isn't safe for white people.
It's that those areas aren't safe for ANYBODY after a certain hour... and are filled with people of a certain race.
The cross racial violence just gets more attention.
Though I'm pretty sure a few senators do try and pull that crap (though from states with few actual muslims.)
It's just they get put it check fairly quickly.
