Also... nobody actually uses minarets for that anymore. They've got loudspeakers now. Those will work just as well on the roof then on a little minaret.

Hearing a muslim prayer every now and again doesn't negativly impact your life.
Nor does hearing a churchbell or anything else like that negaticly impact your life.
Forcing people to not be able to practice their religion does however negativly impact their lives.
