In all honesty, it took a price cut, slim model, and a strong first party and third party exclusive line-up to put Sony in the position it is in now.  Can we say the same things in 2011? 2013?  With Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo out of the picture in that time, what will keep momentum high for Sony's it does everything box? Is this the PS3's golden year or will it just be bigger, better and more badass in years to come?

All it needed was a 300$ price tag. That is all.

With the biggest games coming out in the next 6 months, it will probably be the peak year of the ps3 in 2010, and depending on the success of wii and MS in 2010, ps3 could also rule over 2011.

I really hope this has shown sony the important factors. Price and accessability. Those commercials make it easy for people to understand what the PS3 is all about and theyre entertaining. And the price is what people think they should be paying for a BD players and game console.

The games will always be there and we knew the established franchises and we even got a couple great new IP's. But Sony needs to be proactive on the marketing and stay competitive on price and the momentum will not go away, imo.
