So why do you get Trophies for?

I can't say I really work hard on trophies, I will get them when I am bored on occasion, but I still will play a game if I have finished it or even if it doesn't have trophies I usually will play through a game at least 3-10 times. Also I know this has been said all the time, but for those of you who won't buy a game if it doesn't have trophies, pick up Valkyria Chronicles it's just to awesome not to. Even if it doesn't have trophies it's well worth it.
