About time Sony took the customers seriously. Just think how different today would/might look if they would have started this type of campaign a few years ago?

And Blizzard and WoW...that game makes so much money its almost criminal. That is one game that doesn't need the marketing (they should worry more about keeping current customers than getting new ones)

I don't think the PS3 was at a low enough price tag to do this heavy of advertising. It would have had much less of an effect.

That is how I feel anyways.

At that price with todays world economy Id agree with you.  Things were a lot different in the beginning of the ps3's life cycle.  Just seems like they wasted a great deal of momentum from the ps2 days.  You remember how many ads were EVERYWHERE for all things ps2?  Even up the end it was amazing.  Then the ps3 comes and they just expect people to shell out the money without them giving you a reason too?  It was a mistake and one Im very happy to see them realizing and trying to fix.

When I worked at a marketting firm, my boss always told me this. "We market not for those who love us, or hate us, but for those who sit in between."  It worked for us there, and Im glad its working for Sony today.
