There is a difference between getting hot and broke.

If its flashing both lights give it time to cool down, if its broken it wont start up.

the problem is that once it starts to have overheating problems the 360 is like a ticking time bomb. all the 360 needs now is one quick heat wave and to be turned on for no more then 5 minutes to get bricked.

Skeeuk, I'm assuming you have one of the earlier models which doesn't have a hdmi slot.

its a falcon with hdmi.

ive tried to leave it running, all that happens is that it turns off after 15-30mins with 2 red lights. this fault is not covered in extended warranty and over the phone today the adviser said its £68 repair charge which comes with a new 1 year warranty.

i may aswell pay the £68

At least you will have a new warranty which is a good thing and not forced by law. In any case you have my sympathy. If you have a paypal account you could start a give a penny for free reparation on here ;).

Edit: nevermind since its working now
