Do you have motion enhancer enabled?
If so, turn that shit off! That thing is seriously awful. My friends call it "soap opera" mode... (actually I just googled it, and seems we're not alone on this).
edit: Grats on the new TV btw. I can't wait till I get to replace this SD one, not just because I love HD (not really the case), but I want to be able to connect my laptop to use it as a monitor! Also, HD games nowadays can have ridiculously small text (annoying).
