ie; it's as easy to escape by watching a live-action movie as it is by watching a cartoon, or similarly non-realistic art style.

A lot of research has shown how unrealistic depictions can actually result in disassociation and rejection as well, although the results are inconclusive according to meta-analysis. To reiterate, some people work differently with different mediums.
