A fair question, don't you think?  I was just reading the "What happened to Wii Motion +" thread and a couple of us remarked that we expect Sony and Microsoft's motion controller optoins to be more widely supported than Nintendo's solution.  I still believe this.  I think that motion enhanced versions of games like Resident Evil 5 or some original properties will be huge successes on the PS3.  I think that Natal will become somewhat of a re-launching of the Xbox 360 with "Wii-Fit" level impact.  But why?

What can Sony and Microsoft do to ensure the success of their (likely) expensive new add-ons?  What's going to keep these innovative devices from becoming HD versions of the Eye-Toy (I know there's an HD version of the Eye-Toy.  Shut up.), Power Pad, or Donkey Konga Bongo Drum?  I want them (including WM+, but its already got its own thread) to succeed.
