He is actually trying to say the PS2 got off to a poor start and this is similar to the PS3... it is nothing like it. The PS2 was at 46m at this popint in its life... thats 20m more.

But the PS2 and PS3 had a similar launch. The first year and a half the two were virtually identical.

http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=PS2®1=All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=PS3®3=All&weeks=200

From the second year of sales that things have changed.

This is the first time that PS2 has a popular price point, everything can change again.

You are deluded.

The PS2 was always in first.  The blog comparison is broken, the analysis is idiotic and the reasoning is juvenile.

The PS2 wasnt up against two other consoles that had already sold a combined 81million... 81 million!!

Everything cant change.. its impossible... seriously just stop with this view that the PS3 can somehow run off into the sunset.

In the context of the thread that bolded part means that the PS3 launched with a deficit of 81mil compared to the other 2 consoles. What you wrote there can mean either one of two things:

1) You had a look at the current totals for X360 and Wii combined and somehow managed to not count 10million consoles since the totals of X360 and Wii add up to 91million not 81million. In this case you made TWO mistakes.

2) When the  PS3 launched the X360 and Wii were at a combined total of 81million. This is actually what you are saying, but this is just plain cRaZy talk since that would mean that they both only sold 10million since the PS3 launch (I don't have the figures so I'm using VGC to work out the numbers) In this case you made ONE mistake.

So which one will it be!?
