LOL.
i started MW2 last week, i love playing online and killing people. XD the best part of it is, they don't even know im a girl. heh. heh. heh.
@Nikko: i only get so much attention cos i post so much. stop hatin on me
@SHMUP: you know, when i turn off my laptop, i AM in the "real world" XD
@Monti, you maketh me blush.
i'll put in my two cents while im here, i guess.
i can't talk on behalf of "women" in general, but my personal story: I've been playing games since i was old enough to watch TV (Alex Kidd in miracle world was my first game). growing up, i played games with my cousins, mostly male, and never saw any difference between us. as i got older, though, i noticed that girls (generally) got into make-up and boys, while i would read or play videogames.
and oh my god you've just made me realise what it is that makes boys = video games and girls = gossip.
i was a solitary child. i liked to sit in the corner and read books, or sit in my room and play games/draw/etc. most girls are seen to be social creatures, while guys are seen as "lone wolf" type people. i'm just not that much of a social gossip-girl.
i think thats where the main boy/girl videogame divide comes from, to be honest. but with the modern emergence of more and more casual/multiplayer games, of course more girls (and social boys) are getting into gaming. i can't believe it took me so long to figure that out, and its so simple! XD
