I'm going to do an Americas chart in addition to the world chart this week and next.  I may possibly continue doing so even after the Black Friday numbers come in.

World chart first.  Quick summary: PS3 did not reach 360's sales of 406k from 2008.

WEEK ENDED SEPT 05/06 TO NOV 21/22 (WORLD) Price-reduced console sales Other console sales Gap increase (360) or decrease (PS3) during  period
2008 360: 2,675,132 PS3: 1,991,426 360: 683,706
2009 PS3: 3,713,251 360: 2,168,819 PS3: 1,544,432
Lead PS3: 1,038,119 360: 177,393 PS3: 860,726 (net 2008+2009 change)

WEEK ENDED NOV 21/22 (WORLD) Price-reduced console sales Other console sales Gap increase (360) or decrease (PS3) for the week
2008 360: 406,311 PS3: 245,810 360: 160,501
2009 PS3: 359,417 360: 285,460 PS3: 73,957
Lead 360: 46,894 360: 39,650 360: 86,544 (net 2008+2009 change)

In all ways, not a great week for the PS3 price cut effect compared to last year's 360 price cut.  PS3 didn't match last year's 360 sales and this year's 360 sales exceeded last year's PS3 sales.  I think this is the first time this has happened since the Slim was released.
