These recent natal threads make one thing clear:

Microsoft should put out more information about what it can or can't do, or in the end they will never be able to live up to the hype and notions building up in the time to its release.

I disagree.  I see these recent threads as evidence that people are still very interested or curious about it, and that's nothing but good for MS.

What we need to be right now is something that we always have a hard time with:  patient.  Its not coming any time soon so MS will let the hype machine kick in when the timing is right.  Expect more info in Feb and March but probably not before.

it still might be like Calvins Propeller-Beany.

...nope, i don't expect anyone to understand :D

Big fan.

hehehe, excellent, i'm a big fan too!

but you know what i was getting at? he was so excited, until he found out that the beany couldn't actually make him fly. And i already heard some crazy stuff about what people think natal will be able to do.

Understand completely and agree.  Haters in particular will focus on what it can't do instead of what it can.  But I don't think that'll be a problem with the mainstream and casual audiences.  It'll be neat to them regardless.  While most of us core gamers complained about the limitations of the Wii, they sucked it in and still are.

It has a lot of potential for unique experiences, though.  Just the other day I was thinking how they could use the full body tracking and vocal recognition to have a game that could teach you how to tango and learn Spanish.  Simple use of the tech, but unique in the game space and a Google search would show you how popular each of those are.  Hmmm . . . did I just give away a good game idea?
