It still has the power to sell millions, but it seems as though there will never be an installment that sells as much as GT3 did. This could either be because GT3 sold an enourmous feat for a game, the ps2 sold so much, that people have moved onto other game series, or both. It is obvious Gran Turismo will remain a Sony staple, but how long until it's importance is highly diminished? I know that I have just gotten personally tired of the graphical style. To me it's just aged to be a little stiff. Games like Need for Speed shift showcase their realism, and I hope GT could do that one day. So, do you think the GT name is finally starting to see the effects of oversaturation? Have you gotten tired of Gran turismo personally? I think that they should work on textures on the grass and cement but thats just me....discuss! |
So you think that if PD worked on making the grass and cement better that GT won't be over-saturated anymore? 4 Main GT games launched in what...13 years is over saturated? You have to remember that those prologues do not interfere with the sales of the main game, it's just a little taste of what's to come. Another point I'd like to make is that these prologues are mostly only released in Japan/Others and not NA so I honestly don't see how GT is over-saturated when we haven't even had a main game in the series since the launch of the PS3.
