6. The Wii remote
The judging panel assessed the Wii remote as an endangered gadget, along with the more traditional console controllers.
The hands-free, camera-based motion control of Project Natal could make plastic controllers obsolete, they say. We're not so convinced that Natal, pitched so far as an alternative or supplement to the Xbox 360's control pad, is going to spell doom for the console controller. And let's not forget the 56 million Wiis still going strong around the world.
