People complaining that you need to buy the DLC for the "true ending" are crazy. Seriously, go watch the DLC ending on YouTube or something; you'll see that it doesn't tie up any loose ends, and does very little to advance the plot. It feels more like a teaser for the direction the sequel could take than like a true ending. The real ending of the game is the end of the retail game, not the end of the DLC; the DLC ending is horribly anticlimactic in comparison. If a sequel is released, you can skip the DLC for the first game entirely without missing anything important.
