I used to love any and all FF and JRPG games. But to me they are stuck in the past and can't really get out of the same ole same ole. If you play one you have played all of them, other than just a few different characters, slight story changes and better graphics. I also have come to the point that I absolutely hate turn based fighting (just too damnd boring).
So I will pass on the new Final Fantasy, maybe Square Enix should try and come up with a new formula. Take some ideas from Western RPG's and add their own flare to the mix. Then I would come back to the fold. Until they axe the turn based stuff though its not going to happen.
