Well, to be honest, Love You To bores me a bit, sitar or no sitar. Sorry

Then again, the most "innovative" song by the Beatles is Revolution 9, and it's their worst song too, so...

I dunno, I really wouldn't say any of their songs are bad, even Revolution 9, tape loops are cool. Of course, I tend to gravitate towards prog/art rock so the tape loops on Revolution 9 really don't stack up to some of the stuff I've listened to lol. I love me some sitar though, I'd love to to learn to play.

Well, I am a big fan of Prog (just check my fav albums in my profile, it has a lot of it), but not too fan of the "avant-garde", which is one of the reasons I'm not too fond of Lennon's solo work, that may be the reason

The sitar shines in Norwegian Wood, though

The sitar does indeed shine on Norwegian Wood and Within You Without You. Also I really like Lennon's solo work, but I do like avant-garde music as well. Personally I have always thought Imagine is probably the best song he ever wrote, with or without the Beatles.

In a un-Beatles releated note, good to see a fellow King Crimson lover. (talk about some avant-garde though, their mid-late 70s work is very much avant-garde.)
