Don't forget about shipping and currency fluctuations that also determine how much you are making/losing on each console.
Right now:
300 GBP = ~44,000 Yen
300 USD = ~26,500 Yen
300 EUR = ~39.700 Yen
Sony doesn't make the same amount of money on each console sold throughout the world. Also, there are shipping costs which can fluctuate with the price of oil and other factors. Finally, we must set aside money for defect consoles, warranty costs, bribes to officials, etc.
