Assuming that one pound is aroud two kilograms, then i weighed (187) pounds and have dropped to (158) in somewhat three months, and i'm holding on to this level. I'll add that i'm some 5 feet 9 inches high. What has all this done to me? I'm constantly out of strength to do stuff. Seriously? I never imagined that something as healthy as sports and diets could give one such a headache. Any experience on your part, people? |
You were overweight at 187 -- by about 20 pounds. So losing 30 pounds overall isn't all that big of a deal, assuming you have fairly regular musculature. You did lose it over a very short period (10 pounds per month is on the edge of healthy weight loss). I'm not a doctor, but I wouldn't recommend losing much more weight. You could try to maintain your weight and improve your lean body mass ratio with a high protien diet.
I actually had a very similar experience when I recommitted to weight training earlier this year. I lost >10% of my weight (182 -> 162) at the same height as you. I certainly don't want to lose any more weight. It would be worth counting your calories to determine if you were getting enough food intake -- and since most of your activity is cardio, you may need more high energy food. Bananas would be a good suppliment to your current diet if you don't eat them already
