It is Microsoft's console they can do what they want with it!

well... not with the one i already bought... They dont have the right to restrict functions on an item i have purchased, that was not the agreement at the time of my purchase.

I ask you this. IF you were to own a company that made consoles. And another company were to make something that worked on your console. Without having it tested by you, and without paying you a penny.Which could also be used to cheat.  What would you do?

I would respect the law, so i dont have to pay a big fine.

Tell me which law they are breaking

They're not holding their part of their agreement/contract. I should also add that i live in norway, so different laws... But if you really want to know, see "forbrukerkjøpsloven" § 15. Also see "kjøpsloven" from 1988 and "avtaleloven" from 1918.

Yes they are.  They are not responsible for the retailer sale.  That is the agreement between you and the retailer.  They are holding their part of the agreement.

no they are not. I should also add that they're actually being investigated by forbrukerrådet atm, because of this "anti-pirating" thing.
