These studios are part of Nintendo and they will die if Nintendo dies, there's no such thing as a studio made and owned by company, but which products aren't made by the company. Nintendo develops games.

But I guess we are arguing over a technicism, which is not worth arguing about. I get your point though, but I disagree with how you interpret this.

What I mean is, in house teams as well as those owned through purchase are the ones recognized as developing a game. This isn't the case for Nintendo as a whole. Retro Studios, for example, has nothing to do with a Mario game, yet they are still part of the whole picture called Nintendo. So, I basically mean, that "Nintendo" doesn't develop these games, but more of individual teams in Nintendo.
