This is the part that caught my attention from the OP:
I’m afraid it gets worse. Piracy isn’t the only thing that can get an Xbox 360 banned from Xbox Live. If you have any repairs or cosmetic modifications done to your console by anyone other than Microsoft, you run the risk of getting banned if they find out about it.
It means your are force to send it to Microsoft for repair ...imo that's BS.
And no, if your seal of warranty is broken they (Microsft) wont send you a banned console back instead they will charge you for repair fees.
