Actually this 3D gaming on consoles stuff raises an important question... Since you need to take a performance hit for 3D gaming (about twice the GPU usage, and a little more CPU usage), developers who choose to make 3D games will either have to downgrade the graphics when 3D is enabled (and therefore have two levels of graphical detail), or downgrade them the whole time, which means the GPU will not be fully tapped for most people.

This plus the fact that MS/Sony are not very likely to make expensive consoles in the next gen, could well mean that their consoles won't have much better graphics than the PS3 and 360.
