in short................ not a battlefield game.

Huh? It's very similar to the first. You need to get with the times.

ummm not it is not, not at all. what i said was it is not a battlefield game in relationship to the battlefield franchise, also it is not like bad company 1, i mean sure they have the similar elements but the core game has been changed. This game is a call of duty insired battlefield game, which isn't a battlefield game.

"get with the times"  you must not be a member of the battlefield family because if you were you would now this isn't a battlefield game.

they ruined the class system, it is so stupid now. scout class with shotguns, and motor strike? demo class has been removed..... so has the spec-ops, the assult class is now support .......and support is now medic???? it is all worng.

the skill in weapons and class utilization has been dumbed down to cod levels. every weapon is the same thing just different skin.

they took away the knife..... why would they do that, (yes being limited to a swipe action for the knife is taking it away) the knife may seem small was a big part of battlefield games, running around with the knife was important to the games atmosphere believe it or not.

the same goes for the grenades, can't hold your grenades.........

the health system took the hardest hit, it is utter trash. it pointless and so call of duty, health regenerates so why have med packs, when you throw the med pacs, its like nothing happens, i love that they brought the difibulator back though. Weapons to far to much damage, they took all the skill out of it.

see bad company 1 while it was a smaller...... much much smaller version of a battlefield game, it was still a battlefield game. It still played off the core of what battlefield was, it just didn't come close to topping BF2 in scale.

bad company 2 how ever does not feel like a battlefield game. New comers to the franchise will love it, but i speak for the hardcore who go back to 1942, this just isn't the game we hoped it would be, i hope they change it or just save the real battlefield experience to BF3, because if this is how battlefield will be then the franchise is dead.....

Like Kylie said, they condensed them.

The problem with shotguns is that they're a pretty niche weapon, that some people love, while others hate. In BC1 people were Demolition, not because of their anti vehicle abilities, but because of the shotgun.

Also, with the laser designator, Demos weren't necessary anymore.

Assaults never had a purpose. They had awesome assault rifles and a very nifty grenade launcher, but they never really had a "class".

Specialists in BC1, were only useful for C4s, which I don't think is a justification for an entire class.

So again, they condensed it.

I'm playing mainly as a Medic, but I can definetly feel the difference. The QBU88 has nice recoil. The one before that has decent recoil and really fast rate of fire. The PKM has high damage and mediocre recoil. The M60 has descent recoil and high damage, and low ammo.

The AK recoils a lot, and the XM8 doesn't.

I don't know how BC1 stacks up against the other Battlefields, but I did find it a bit ridiculous that I could literally snipe snipers with my XM8 (which had like 0 recoil in the first game).

I think you're either rushing your judgments, or wanting to not like this game. Give it a few more rounds, and don't get frusturated for not being good at it. It took me a round to get used to the damage before going on to getting 3:1,4:1 K/D ratios ;D
