Well the real strength of the PSP is that many of the RPG developers have really given it support. Outside of them the PSP doesn't have a ton of really strong genres, there are some decent platformers (Ratchet & Clank, Daxter, etc) but if you do like fighters I would really suggest giving Dissidia a try, you might be surprised how deep the fighting mechanics are.
