Well, the English language is a funny thing. Some words do change meaning, others have seen attempted meaning changes. Whenever there is any sort of movement to change a word's meaning, there will always be some people who push back on the meaning. In my case, I push back on this this change because of the origins of this change. This stems to when it was more commonplace to be anti-gay, and calling someone gay was analogous to calling them homosexual, or attempting to insult that person. The word moved away from just people to concepts and ideas. I would rather not allow the change to go through peacefully, since that would embue the bias against homosexuals into a word's history. The English language has enough words that you can express your dislike of something without having to call it "gay".
