ATLUS or NIS wouldn't be the right fit for No More Heroes. ATLUS and NIS aren't capable of marketing a game outside of their niche and No More Heroes doesn't fit within that niche. Just because it's Japanese developed, doesn't mean that you should market towards Japanophiles. It has more of a western appeal. Hence why JP sales sucked and NA sales were great. No More Heroes needs a publisher that understands the North American audience and will advertise the game's over-the-top blood and gore (which is more wild than the typical M-rated core game in North America so the violence in NMH will draw attention to it). Problem is, like I said, NMH isn't graphically impressive to draw interest (I do like the game's HD graphics but I'm not picky about graphics) from PS360 gamers and it's combat and sandbox elements are too simplistic to draw interest from PS360 gamers. At the end of the day they'd rather play a less violent gameplay with more impressive graphics and deeper gameplay. But I think you'll have better success if you market the game's violence, scantily-clad women and wacky protagonist than if you just do the ATLUS and NIS thing (poor advertising that won't get your attention, market only to japanophiles).
