why would that be hilarious, if anything that would be very smart, unless you do not think the xbox360 could not handle gears 3?
look, I respect you and all but I very much doubt Microsoft is ready to hurt xbox360 sale's.
why? you may ask!, why would the next xbox hurt xbox360's sale's
its very simple.
the fan base of the xbox brand would in all likely hood move on to the next xbox and the software sale's of the xbox360 would indeed suffer.
if anything Microsoft know's their market dynamic's of the xbox fan base very well esp. since they have a very good hit on their hand with the xbox360. that would be very unwise to not keep the xbox360 as their main system even when the next xbox get's released.
THE PROBLEM is that Microsoft do know their market very well and if a new xbox is released sooner rather than later that indeed would hurt their current system because the majority of xbox fan base would just support the new xbox over the xbox360 because if the new xbox supports BACKWARD Compatability with xbox360 game's, than majority of xbox360's would drop in sale's.
which is why Microsoft is in no hurry to start up with a new xbox.
