UT3 didn't exactly sell well, but the point I was trying to make was Sony and Microsoft support these companies with massive funds and marketing. Since they are independent devs, if they went multi-platform, they would need to find a publisher who would give them comparable support such as EA or Activison, which still may not be as dependable as first party support.
