Holy fucking shit, I'll write a more indepth reaction, but that was a fucking BLAST!!!
Since it was a beta, there were quite a few glitches, but that's the whole point of playing a beta.
The game is a LOT more different than Bad Company 1, namely that it is HARDER and more REALISTIC.
Destructible environments actually don't play as much as a strategic role in this game. Part of this is because you'll be moving so much and sitting still is no longer really an option. Also because the grenade launcher has been mapped to the directional pad, it's very inconvenient to get to it... I really wish they stuck with the BC1 controls where you switch through all the weapons with L2 and R2.
Spotting is great because of the compromise between just fucking shooting, or near guaranteeing some points with spot assists.
Sniping is a lot easier in this game, but at the same time more realistic with gravity pulling down the bullet. Too bad that the glitchyness ruined some of the sniping experience.
Because they gimped the guns from being able to shoot hundreds of yards away like you could in BC1, now you have to get much closer if you're not going to play as a sniper. Time will tell once more people (including me) get higher ranks and get the scope and front grip accesories.
But as of now, it's not viable to act almost like a rifleman as you do in BC or 43 with assault rifles.
BTW clips are much smaller now, 30 bullets like Socom.
Because you can take so little damage, you must be ever more careful. Do you really want to reload? Because there might be a guy that'll just come out and blast you.
You'll probably not make it if you're caught under fire, but still, you need to start sprinting for cover as soon as you even get scratched.
I need to start training myself to use pistols on instinct.
I played with Necromunda and man was it a blast (be sure to sign up on http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=91906&page=1 because it really is fun to play with others), gotta stop writing and get to work XD XD XD
Holy fuck yes.
