Regarding demographics, are you speaking of my final lines about sports games and racers? If we're going back to RPGs then I don't get the point of bringing it up. The same genres will breed the same demographics that want to play them. Neither console seems to be able to sell RPGs more remarkably well than the other, so it's easy to assume they have the same demographics purchasing RPGs. Regarding the ratings of the RPGs, they're ugly on both sides. I put every original RPG I could find that released this year on that list for both platforms, no exceptions. I don't get your fascination with proving you play a DS, pointing out that I don't own a PSP, and questioning whether I've played every game in my lists. Is there a point to it? I never gave a personal opinion on each platform's RPG list, I just said the DS can easily counter the PSP's. I don't have much of a personal stake in the matter, since RPGs aren't really my thing in the first place. If you must know about my buying habits, I owned a PSP 2000 until early this year, when I sold it along with about 15 games towards the purchase of a PS3. I still don't get what that has to do with anything, but there you go. I'm getting to the point where I don't know why you originally quoted me in my reply to leo-j the first place and put these multitude of arguments in my face like they all have something to do with me. They really don't. |
This quote, direct from you a few pages back, is what prompted me to jump in and defend the PSP's lineup, which I feel is very good:
Onyxmeth: "Not a single one of those games on either of your lists are in your gaming collection. Are you sure YOU'VE played them?"
You made an entire post out of that question, complete with huge quotation, as if you could actually "question" the worth of these games by attempting to derail someone's argument based on whether ot not they've spent the time to update their profile. You're a moderator. You, of all people, should realize that updating ones profile is a painful business when you have a lot of games (I sure know it), and frankly, this post of yours, as a contribution to this thread, was meaningless and frankly, kind of insulting to anyone who hasn't wasted their time by completing their profile.
So I decided to step in. Because the games he mentioned are very good. Excellent even, and if you look, and you don't need to look too hard, you'll see that reflected in their review scores -- especially relative to many of the DS games you brought up in subsequent followups.
I want you to justify your, in my opinion, outrageous post before its included in the discussion. Confirm for me that an up-to-date profile is necessary for contribution to the discussion... or is posting such a question, instead, trolling?
Every one of my posts has been relative to the discussion, including this one, since I am interested in the discussion, and not in unreasonable nitpicking. I don't appreciate the trolling, as a user of this board -- particularly not from a moderator, who should know better.
