Do you believe the psp fell short again to the DS this year (Library-wise)

Well the problem on here is that with the download store, people will defend poor PSP sales until the end of time. Anything that isn't sold at retail could potentially be made up for in mystery DD sales, no matter how unlikely. I think a healthy combo of Sony showing third parties their PSP Go plans and Capcom's success with Monster Hunter made it possible to get some third parties on board again. I read somewhere ( I think it was gameindustry.biz ) earlier this year that sony had significantly lowered the price of development tools for the psp which might have been partly the reason it received more first party support this year.

Why would that affect first party studios? Don't they receive PSP development tools for free?
