1) why should we care what some very stupid americans think?
2) okay, please do show me some evidence of this then, I know the UK has all kinds of seedy things going on, the saudi thing a couple of years ago and the F1 sponsorship come to mind, cash for peerages, MP's expenses, et al, only EU thing I know of is the pay they get just to turn up
3) the Queen technically does, but just wouldnt dare use it, you brought up unelected people in power being bad though, so it is relevant, even if it probably wont be used...The Lords can block, alter or even stop policys from being made...
