Maybe... but it goes against their "evergreen" philosophies. I think they'd sacrifice guaranteed extended budget sales for games like Fire Emblem if it means they get to keep charging $50 for games like Mario Kart. It's a shame, lots of GC games basically doubled their sales through later budget rereleases. Valkyria wouldn't be past 300k if not for continued budget sales (at full price it moved about 150k Japan, 75k US). I'm sure most of Last Remnant's sales came in the bargain bins too.
