Why would I defend myself about buying a game I don't like or just don't want or buying a multiplat on another system?

  • Demon's Soul -- own it
  • Brutal Legend -- I'm mildly interested because I like Tim Schafer but I'm going to wait a while and I'm going to get on the 360 if I do get it.
  • Ratchet and Clank -- not getting it
  • inFamous -- not getting it
  • BlazBlue -- not getting it
  • Valkyria Chronicles -- found it in the bargain bin, picked it up, played it for 10 minutes
  • Killzone 2 -- got it because people told me to and regretted it
  • MW2 -- got it for the 360
  • Borderlands -- Going to get it eventually...on the 360

So why am I some sort of villain?  All those ones I'm not getting I'm not getting because I just don't like them.  The two I got that I normally would not  (Killzone 2 and VC) I picked up because people told me to and I regretted it.  The ones I got on the 360 or getting on the 360 I'm getting because I like the controller better, I like achievements more than trophies, and I have more friends on Live.

-edit-

And before anyone calls me on the VC hate or the fact I like achievements better than trophies:

VC hate-- it just wasn't the game for me.  Not a bad game, it just wasn't for me.

achievements-- I realize they are more or less the same thing and some people think they're meaningless, I just simply like one system and the way they're handled over the other.  It's an opinion.
