lol no those are HD character models. Much higher texture resolutions.

What does texture resolution have to do with the actual character model?

It's new textures on the same models.

Why should they redesign the character models anyway ?

When did I say they should?  I simply said all they changed was the lighting and textures.

The actual character models though were done "on the cheap".  To greatly improve on how the game looks by a lot i'd think you'd have to refine those.

Though they shouldn't simply because it'd be too costly for unknown sales.
