Oh I see it's incredibly easy to increase your profile hit count if you want to. Doesn't take much time or effort at all, and it's pretty easy to discover.
I suppose there are much more important things to improve on this website than the profile hits counter code, but just remember that having a large number of profile hits doesn't make you popular =) I could probably make myself the number 1 profile on this page in about 15 minutes with a 5 line bash script
EDIT: 8 lines...
