There are many great modders that drastically improve the game they're modding. Just look at Oblivion, which becomes a totally different and much better experience after a few mods in. there are PC games that do have discarded content hidden (Vampire - the Masquerade: Bloodlines comes to mind), but that happens either because they simply don't have the time/budget to keep those in, or they're not balanced for it. There's a third option for Activision, which is making that content DLC and make us pay for it. Unfortunately for them, PC gamers are as gullible as console gamers when it comes to paid DLC. |
I'm not talking about Oblivion. I'm talking about Modern Warfare 2. You just stated that a modder could make the same 3 maps that Infinity Ward will make in a day. Now I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you meant one of those maps in one day and not all three in one. So prove it. Stop talking out of your ass and show me this huge modding effort that can get quality maps out in 24 hours. I'm not saying modders can't do wonderful things. I'm sure they can. I just know that they are no more talented than the people making maps at Infinity Ward, and those official maps in the game I'm sure take more than 24 hours to make.
Secondly, my problem with you is that you wouldn't acknowledge the possibility of it being discarded content. It's such a common occurrence in PC games that I figured it might cross yours or someone else's mind before I had to interject midway into this thread to put it out there. You posted a topic that point blank states that this WILL be paid DLC, and you've yet to prove so. Your video isn't proof either. It's proof there is content in the files, but I've yet to see your proof that Activision is planning on even releasing the content, let alone make people pay for it. What this does is spread rumors around the forum perpetrated as fact when it's anything but that.
Your final sentence doesn't make any sense.
