I predict that in the future, ALL online modes are going to be regulated by some sort of registration system. Offline will be fine but online multi-player will be exclusive to retail. Remember this post. |
Actually I was thinking that this may be just like a bundle of other games on the PC with hidden files that weren't meant to get out. Maybe there's balancing issues in these game modes, or they didn't test well with closed audiences, but it's not like this would be the first time hidden files got discovered that weren't meant to get out and are nothing more than discarded content.
Unless of course everyone's still wondering when Rockstar is going to begin charging for that hidden Hot Coffee DLC in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Now I'm not saying this isn't going to be paid DLC, but Activision has already stated they were making map packs for the game and haven't alluded to any other paid content as of yet. There seems to be an awful lot of people jumping the gun here, considering there must be numerous games out there on the PC with hidden code just like this.

Activision wants you to pay $10 for 3 maps that a single modder can do in just a day. This tells me that Activision and Infinity Ward are not to be trusted.

How many modders are there then? I would expect to see a thousand maps by now, all of the utmost quality.
Anyways, I don't have to defend my position. I'm merely offering alternatives here, and far more likely ones. You're the one that jumped the gun. If this happens to be paid for DLC, I'm not incorrect. If it's not DLC, then you're 100% wrong. I know it's a hat you wear comfortably though.
Tell me shio, how many games on the PC that you know of had discarded content hidden in the files? Just wondering since you're the more knowledgeable PC gamer.
