Mclaren knows it isn't smart getting the two best drivers in one team so they settled with less, in this case less being Button.

Hey all:D

I dont think Kimi is as good as Lewis either to be honest, he's good, but Lewis is probably the best driver currently.

Button is better than most people think

Welcome to the site btw

I don't say kimi is as good as hamilton, but many people overestimate the actions of button over the years. Just look at this season, he got the best car at the start of the season, but he never had to use any real driving skill. when the competition got close he was way below average. Anyway two British guys in one team is the ideal case for the sponsors.

@bolded

bullshit, as countless drivers have proved over the years, having the best car doesnt gurantee anything, you still have to get on pole and win races, Button did that, he won one race from behind the Red Bull also, he also did well despite trouble with the car in the later part of the season, Brazil for instance, he struggled with his car in qualifying but drove brilliantly to get where he needed to be to secure the WDC

i'd hardly call what he did with Honda overestimated either, they had a fairly average car most years, but Jenson still easily outclassed Barrichello and Sato before that, hell in 2004 he came 3rd in the WDC, his teammate was way down on that.
