All the reviews say it got it right where it counts. Graphics may not be great, but they are more than adequate. It's not like you can admire the scenery anyway because you absolutely have to keep your eyes on the road unless you want to drive in to the stands. The sense of speed is definitely there and it certainly gets your competitive juices flowing. The racing is great and the controls are tight. Using the Wiimote as a steering wheel works better than in Mario Kart. I have yet to see a frame rate issue, but I'm not going to say it doesn't exist. The game is a nice mix between arcade and sim, and to be honest, it's taking away play time for Modern Warfare Reflex. It's a bargain title too.
Edit: Check out Metacritic.
Here's a quote from Eurogamer:
"Once on-track, few F1 games have managed to be as encouraging when it comes to pushing yourself to attack corners and better your lap time, and fewer still have proved as much fun. This may not be the revolution the Formula 1 sub-genre has been waiting for, but you're not likely to find many Wii owners complaining."
