It generally doesn't work that way.
I really enjoyed No More Heroes, until my friend pointed out 25 flaws with the game, in 30 minutes. The case is, I agree with the flaws - I was just fooling myself into liking it.
If someone points out the flaws, and you agree with them, then you'll have a hard time preventing yourself from disliking the game.
(I agree with your message, it just often doesn't work).
