Yeah, but how is he supposed to explain a brand new couch being ruined by cat diarrhea? How is he going to get the stain or smell out and what about the dog? What if the dog was poisoned?

Kill the cat.
Eat the dog.
And lick the couch.

Wrong order, the diarrhea on the couch would rot by then.

Correct. When licking poo, you want the freshest possible batch.

Tell them to take it to the vet. It might have a virus/bacteria, since the dog got sick following the poo eating incident. They should probably look into potty training it as well.
