Really, laptops are not practical for serious PC gaming. They cost too much for the performance you get. It is costly if not impossible to upgrade. Most PC gamers prefer a keyboard/mouse and LCD screen/HDTV to a laptop monitor and if you hook your laptop up to a monitor, why not have a desktop.
edit: lol, this is what happens when you read the original post and then mix it with a thread title from another window. I think it is funny and I am going to leave it this way.
