Either SquareEnix is trying to hype the game by throwing out hopeful predictions...or they've really just become blind and think if they build a 'bigger and better' Final Fantasy it'll sell more each time.
Even the most skeptical analysts are predicting it won't even surpass Dragon Quest IX. And that game is going to sell between 5-7 Million (depending on the international sales).
